English somehow gets treated differently
When it comes to learning English, people expect a magic method. Sit down, follow it exactly, try it briefly, and if results do not appear immediately, abandon it.
How would that ever succeed?
You would not believe it in business
If someone told you they had a miraculous method to make you a hundred million dong in two hours, would you believe them?
First, methods like that are usually a scam.
Second, when someone tells you the method requires persistence over months and years, that is the honest version.
The cost of constantly switching
One or two months in, it feels hard, it feels discouraging, so you stop. Then you switch to another method. Then another.
Two things are required, in this order:
One, find the right method.
Two, stay with it.
Neither works alone. Finding the right one and not persisting is the same as never having found it.
